Jeffrey Brockman is an American singer and songwriter based in Tampa, Florida USA. He started developing his style early, influenced by a plethora of genres and artists. Jeffrey had the opportunity to perform his music, all originals and self-written, at a variety of venues, festivals, markets and events while in Korea, England, Italy, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar and then here in the States while serving in the US Air Force.
In 2003, he became the front-man for the rock band, Release, performing in Shreveport & Bossier City, Louisiana USA with four friends, all members of the US Air Force stationed out of Barksdale Air Force Base. The band quickly found their niche in the local rock scene and landed regular rotations on many local radio stations. In 2005 he moved to England and started a solo project focusing more on his songwriting and poetry. In 2008, after being transferred to Aviano Air Base in Aviano, Italy, he released his self-recorded, debut album, Seven Year Itch, in 2011 followed by his first EP, Morning Sun, in the fall of 2012. He started making music with other local artists and ultimately formed the Jeffrey Brockman Band. He recorded and released his follow-up, full length album, Glimpses, in 2013 at Abomination Studios (Aviano, Italy) just before his final transfer and retirement at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana.
Jeffrey performed and assisted in chairing multiple charity events to include Relay For Life raising over $75K for the American Cancer Society (2011-2013) and performed at the Battered Women’s Shelter fundraiser in Atlanta, Georgia USA (2012).
Returning to the USA, Jeffrey won the 2013 Pepsi Performer contest in Great Falls, Montana, donating his awarded studio time at 4th Avenue Studios to a young, aspiring artist. Now retired from the Air Force, he performs locally around Tampa, Florida. He was recently asked to perform at the Tampa Bay Acoustic Music Festival and was selected to be a Hard Rock Cafe Ambassador.
Jeffrey is also a poet and has published three books of poetry.
